Name: Jasmine Powell
Jasmine Powell is a black transgender female from San Francisco working in the field of transgender services for 10+ years.
She previously worked for API Wellness in San Francisco, were she held the position, peer Navigator for the Trans Access program. Through this platform she conducted street outreach and provided resources to trans women on the streets. In addition, she has worked with FLUX, broadening trans visibility and with W.O.R.L.D (Women Organized to Respond to Life-threatening Diseases) as a peer advocate working to ensure that trans women were included in both the services and mission.
She is currently working as a health educator for PHI (Public Health Institute). Where she facilitates weekly support groups on topics ranging from HIV, homelessness, and depression.
